Let's see.. I like cats, as you can tell if you read that little "The Skinny" section. We've got two of them, Soldier Tom K. Sparta and Annabel. Annabel being my brother's, and Soldier being mine. I'm an Art major at Nicholls, focusing in Painting and Drawing. I've been in school for probably too long, but I enjoy it. And learning is a lifelong process.
I like the morbid side of things, the many portrayals of Death as a subject in art, and use the figure a good bit. It even seems kind of funny, to me, how interesting a subject Death is given how little of it I've had to deal with. hehe.

LSU and saints football are big. Buy LSU stuff now while they're not champs. It'll be cheaper in the long run. Now that hell is freezing over the saints will be undefeated and win the super bowl to become the best team ever. Right before the world ends. I do like to watch the dolphins play when they're on too. Seems they have a consistency of mediocrity these days.

I don't watch much tv, but I do make time for family guy. I can tell and quote just about anything in family guy. Even the subtle stuff. Robot Chicken and South Park are also favorites. The crap they come up with is hilarious. I also like watching the Soup. The only worthwhile show on E! (Waiting for the rabid E! fans to express their hatred towards me).

I like to joke a lot. So if you're feeling sad, I can guarantee I'll make you laugh, but I'm usually shy around people I don't know. I guess people think I'm stuck up, but that's not the case. I just get real nervous. (*whisper*...I'm working on that...) I guess that's because people that don't know me usually can't tell when I'm joking. Awesome for tricking people, but bad when meeting people. If you take the time to get to know me, then you'll find out I'm real fun to hang out with.

I'm always doing something. Usually on week nights i watch horror movies and go eat out with my friends. I've seen just about every horror movie. Even the lame ones. I love to play drinking games and beer pong, but I never get too messed up. No fun when you're puking. We haven't done that too much lately though. I'm still waiting to play football too. The seasons almost over and we still haven't played a game.

I have one brother that's getting his doctor's degree at LSU. I have two dogs. Both mutts. One I adopted and the other I found. They're old though. Just got a new car a few months back. Hi. I'm a student at NSU. I like to read, watch and play basketball with my hommies, workout, and generally have a good time.

So here's the deal...first and foremost I am an artist and a student of art. I'm currently a junior at Nicholls State University majoring in art with a double concentration in drawing and sculpture as well as a minor in art history. This is my life and my job and I spend the vast majority of my time on campus either working on projects or participating in departmental events. When I'm not at school I'm generally at home either pursuing independent projects which range from drawing and photography to tattooing. I've been a tattoo artist for nearly 10 years and I still enjoy pursuing this as a freelance artist rather than in a shop environment.

Exploring my surroundings and taking inspiration from the world around me is something that I'm truly passionate about. I have been known to pack up a bag and head out in the middle of the night to New Orleans or some other locale for a night photography session. Spur of the moment road trips and adventures to unknown and new places are something I find highly enjoyable. I have lived a very full life up to this point, having spent 6 years in the US Navy and working as a teacher and network administrator/engineer. There have been many twists and turns along the way, but it has all led me to this moment and made me the person that I am today. That person is reliable, trustworthy, honest, caring, and full of life. I have waited my whole life to be the artist that I know I was meant to be, and within the last year I have basically reclaimed my life and done everything within my power to make that dream a reality.

So why am I here? I guess he short answer is to meet a woman to share my life with. The more honest answer is that I'm here to find my complement, someone who can understand and accept me as I am, flaws, idiosyncrasies, and all. Someone who understands that my motivation is not to find someone to fill some void in my life but to add to what I feel is already a full and complete life. My name is Mike, hence my "Username" I'm a former Massage Therapist now Computer Tech for Best Buy. I own around 800+ Movies which is one of my favorite hobbies. Well, I think I should describe myself a bit better on because I guess my description above doesn't really say much so here are some things I left out. I love music, it is a passion of mine. I spent 8 years working in the business and I can't even begin to tell you how many bands that I have met or hung out with. I used to tour with a band and I worked at a club where many famous acts played before they made it huge. Bands like Hinder, Theory of a deadman, 10 Years, Flyleaf, and many many more. I had a blast, no worries though, I am a good boy I never messed with the groupies lol I am a relationship only type of guy.
I have also been a professional piercer and tattooist for 8 years, I don't do it right now because I am working on saving enough money to open my own shop but I love it and have a passion for it. To me a tattoo is a work of art, much like a painting but its on your flesh, which makes it more personal. I guess you could say that I am a bit of an art collector because I have quit a few tattoos and many people judge me poorly because of that. I am not a crazy biker, criminal, or junkie. I just happen to have many tattoos and I will continue to get more because it is something that I love.
I also love to travel, it seems like I travel every chance I get. Whenever I go to work I am doing something different every time and traveling to different places, I love it. When I am not working I usually like to go on little mini vacations here and there. It could be a weekend trip to the beach or a week long trip to somewhere that sounds like fun. I plan on traveling to Europe eventually, something about the old world fascinates me. I really want to see it all. Someday I would also like to travel to Austrailia, I have wanted to go there since I was a kid and I will someday.

As for what I am looking for in a woman, I just want someone who will take the time to see whats inside and not judge me by my looks. I want someone who will see me for me and not expect me to change. I want someone who is honest and that I can trust because those two things are very important to me. I was born and raised in Louisiana, and to an extent I'm proud to call it home here. I eventually plan on moving because I honsetly cannot handle the weather down here. Between hurricanes and the humidity, I find it to be rather brutal. That, and I know Louisiana just isn't for me.

I love the outdoors in case anyone couldn't tell from my photos. I'm rather fond of day-hiking and through-hiking, though the latter requires hauling more gear, which sucks. I'm pretty active overall I'd say: I run a lot, play soccer on the weekends, exercise when I can, etc. One of my goals for this year is to be able to run a half-marathon by December.

I enjoy cooking, video games, reading books, reading stuff online, and I'm a huge fan of music. I can be quite the nerd which is fine with me. Everyone is a nerd about something.
